The short version. Priora Active has no account, no login and no server of ours. Everything you log lives on your iPhone and syncs — if you want it to — through your own iCloud. We cannot see it, because there is nowhere for us to look. There is no analytics, no advertising, and no third‑party code in the app at all.
Who we are
Priora Active is made by northOS (Mark Pernitsch). You can reach us at support@northos.xyz.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you enter — workouts, sets, weights, reps, programs, rehab plans, journal entries, notes and photos — is written to a database on your device.
If iCloud is enabled on your iPhone, that database also syncs to your own private iCloud storage so your history follows you between your devices. That data belongs to your Apple Account. It is not sent to northOS, and we have no ability to read it. Apple's handling of it is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
If you would rather not sync, turn iCloud off for Priora Active in iOS Settings. The app keeps working entirely on-device.
Apple Health
Health access is optional and off until you grant it. You can change or revoke it at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Priora Active.
What the app reads
Only so that a day you did not lift still shows what you did:
- Workouts and workout routes
- Heart rate, active energy
- Walking and running distance, cycling distance, swimming distance
- Steps, flights climbed, exercise minutes
What the app writes
- Workouts only — the sessions you complete in Priora, saved to Health so the rest of your health data is complete.
It never reads body measurements. No weight, no body fat, no BMI, no menstrual or reproductive data, no clinical records. Health data is never transmitted off your device by this app, and is never used for advertising.
Photos
If you attach a photo to a journal entry, you pick it yourself and it is copied into the app's own database — the same one described above. The app does not browse your photo library, and photos are not uploaded anywhere by us.
What we do not do
- No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for and no password to lose.
- No analytics or tracking. The app contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK and, in fact, no third‑party code whatsoever.
- No data collection. We do not collect, receive, sell, rent or share your personal data, because none of it reaches us.
- No tracking across apps or websites, and no advertising identifier.
Notifications and Live Activities
The rest timer can appear on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. That is drawn by iOS on your device from a start and end time the app hands it. Nothing is sent to a server, and no push notifications are sent by us.
Links out of the app
Settings contains a list of our other apps. Opening one takes you to the App Store. The app does not know whether you went, and nothing about it is recorded.
Children
Priora Active is not directed at children under 13, and since we collect nothing, we do not knowingly collect anything from them either.
Your rights, in practice
Because the data never leaves your control, exercising your rights does not require us:
- Access and portability — the data is on your device, and in your iCloud backup.
- Erasure — deleting the app removes its on-device database. To remove the synced copy as well, delete Priora Active's data in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
- Objection or withdrawal of consent — revoke Health access, or turn off iCloud sync, at any time in iOS Settings.
We hold no copy of your data, so there is nothing for us to return or delete on request. If you would like that confirmed in writing, email us and we will say so.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be described in the app's release notes rather than slipped in quietly.
